pin-it party #43

it is GORGEOUS outside today!  i hope you are inside checking out this party, b/c like me, you’re perusing the internet while cooking a meal, and then you are heading out into the sunshine!  we’re going tree-hunting after lunch!  i am excited.

this is a total rabbit trail (i’m good for those), but since we’ve got our mind on trees…  the girls and i had some time to kill this afternoon, so i drove them past the house i grew up in.  the one thing i loved more than anything about that house was the magnolia tree in the front yard.  it is beautiful.  still is.  i miss it.  i would look forward to it budding every year.  it was like a fresh breeze coming into life.  winter was finally over and good, warm things were on their way.  my mom always did such a nice job with our yard.  peonies lined the back, roses lined the side, a rose of sharon graced the mailbox, lilacs kissed the driveway, and a beautiful white dogwood kept my beloved magnolia company in the front.  their was never a shortage of fresh flowers, and we made bouquets almost daily.  i miss that too.  i hope to have that kind of yard for us one day.  anyway…back to why you are here!

if this is your first time, i’m so happy that you’ve chosen precious moments of your day/night to stop by klover house and participate in our weekly pin-it party.

last week’s most clicked pin was this one from caroline nixon’s blog: anchored in His grace.  what a sweet blog!  be it for work, an event, a date-night, i also personally struggled when it was time to leave each of our girls.  i realize that life goes on past being ‘mommy’ and ‘daddy’, but i am not ashamed to admit that i am addicted to my kids.  🙂

pin-it party and a deezer design giveaway! (not an affiliate post)

welcome!  happy saturday to you!  today’s party post is two-fold!  not only would i like to invite you to link up your pins from this week, but i’d also love to introduce you to a lovely friend’s new business endeavor – deezer design!

in the deezer design shop you will find unique, carefully crafted items for your home…your kids…and you too!  the pieces in the shop are the perfect blend of sophistication and whimsy!

this is a wreath that danielle, of deezer design, made for me recently and it’s hanging proudly on our front door!  i simply told her that i was longing for a little purple in my life, and she created this:

i adore these little felt flowers adorned with pearls.  pearls are totally my thing.  i am amazed by the uniformity of the petals.  it is both aesthetically pleasing as well as super sturdy!

visit her etsy shop for a full list of her many creations.  i personally adore the wreaths that are smothered in roses.  once i get these walls painted, i want to find homes for at least one in a girl’s bedroom.  i have three girls…i have the perfect excuse for rosy wreaths on the wall!

she also makes party/photo props, hair accessories, felt flowers, and wall art!  speaking of, one of you get to be the lucky winner of one of her latest projects – ‘Happy Easter Bunny’ wall art (on stretched canvas, measuring 8″ tall x 10″ wide x 0.75″ deep).

for a chance to win this sweet little bunny, simply complete the rafflecopter form found in this post!  this precious little bunny bottom is a great accent for your spring and Easter decor!  the serene, blue background highlights the stark, white bunny and its cute yarn pompom tail.

you can also find deezer design’s fan page on facebook {here}.  hop on over (pun intended!) and show her some love!

*also* friends of klover house can receive a discount of 10% using the code: kloverhouse at checkout.  the code will expire after 04/04/14.

date night and the pin-it party!

good morning and happy saturday, friends! dance was canceled this morning, thanks to a never-ending winter… seriously. enough with the snow already! how is it in your neck of the woods? maybe you like the snow. maybe you know how to ski. maybe you have a never-ending supply of hot cocoa. maybe you’re a little crazy. what?! don’t scoff. yes, you must be a little kooky if this cold appeals to you. (or four. you might be four. my four-year-old revels in this. she’s going sledding right after the usa/russia hockey game concludes. she going with daddy, b/c, like you, he is crazy and likes the snow.) okay, enough of that. i apologize.

so, what are we pinning today? i know you have lots to share with us, b/c you, like me, have been STUCK INSIDE FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE SIX YEARS, AND YOU WRITE AND MAKE MOON DOUGH SO THAT YOU DON’T GO CRAZY! haha sorry. i can’t seem to help myself!

our featured pin from last week’s party is this one from whitney of ‘beauty in the mess’:

so appropriate, given yesterday was valentine’s day! {my valentine’s-related post} my hubby surprised me with dinner and we decided to end the night with some spontaneity and went to an arcade in the burgh. i kicked his butt at skee ball…connect four…and some crazy light game in which you hit buttons on the wall (kind of like ‘whack a mole’). it kept saying, ‘player two is on fire!’ i was, people. i was. it.was.awesome. if i would’ve remembered to put on make-up, it would’ve been perfect. but, hey…at least i got a compliment from the maitre d’ on my dress!

(usa just scored. i have a happy, hootin’, hollerin’ husband.)

okay…the party…

(and we won! the neighbors can probably hear him screaming and clapping. haha)

wanna join the party? here’s what to do:

pin-it party saturday!

welcome, friends! it’s saturday and i’m getting back on track with my blog schedule starting with the weekly pin-it party! i’ve also started compiling my ‘good finds’ for friday! feeling accomplished!

there were so many great pins last week. i confess, this one was a favorite of mine:

my husband has a very full schedule. he works quite a bit, is very involved with our church and ministries (thankfully!), but the long hours with the kids really takes a toll on me some days. i appreciated this post, and if you are like me – a solo mama tempting to think you are like a single mama – you’ll like this one too. xo

also, here was last week’s most clicked pin:

i can completely relate here. eden is nearly nine months old and is showing little interest in crawling/walking. she has just recently began the army crawl stuff. it’s so adorable. part of me doesn’t want to worry or rush any of it, especially if she’s my last baby. i want to savor her dependency. at the same time though, i want her to be well-developed, engaged, and healthy, so i’m walking a fine line there.  ava was right ‘on track’, isla was ahead of the norm, and eden, well…she’s taking her sweet time.

i love these girls so much!  pinch me!  okay…back to the party.

here’s what to do:

1. follow the co-hosts on pinterest (links below)

paula from beauty through imperfection

becky from your modern family

gabrielle from MamaGab

me! kristi from klover house

2. pin our “pin-it party” picture. (one of these)

4. hop around and re-pin other pins from this page- lets share each others great ideas and make all of our lives run just a little bit smoother.

5. adding your link gives us permission to use an image from the pin (or post connected to the pin) to feature on next week’s pin-it party. because of this we ask that you only link up images from your own site, and images that you have taken, created or have legal rights to.
